About PFLAG SF

PFLAG SF promotes the health and well being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and gender expansive persons, their families and friends.

Through support to cope with an adverse society, education to enlighten an ill-informed public, and advocacy to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights, we provide the opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity and act to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

We engage with our community in a variety of ways, the primary ones being:

  • Creating education and safe school programs with the Gay/Straight Alliances in high schools

  • Providing workshops and guidance to Bay Area organizations and corporations

  • And of course, providing our vital support group, monitoring our help line, organizing activists, and participating in the many events that take place in our city

Booklets from PFLAG about family and coming out issues are always available, along with information from other resources in our local communities.

PFLAG San Francisco is a tax-exempt 501c3 organization.
