Seasons Greetings!

It’s sweater season and the surge of holiday cheer brings so much for us to be thankful for. We want to thank you for being a vital part of PFLAG SF and, as is now tradition, give you a short tour of what we were up to this year!

marching at pride

We celebrated Pride in person this year! It was so wonderful marching, speaking with so many people, and in general letting out all the joy we had been containing for the past two years.

This year also saw us at numerous street fairs and other events, the start of new education programs at two high schools, and a quadrupling of our amazing volunteer base.

At the beginning of the year, we said a heartfelt goodbye to Kenda who had been leading our chapter for over two decades as she took a much deserved step down. We have some passionate new board members and a new Executive Director, Lilith, to take the reins as we continue on into the new year.

Words from Our Leadership

“I am inspired by the peer-to-peer support that I see happening every month at our meetings. I look forward to expanding that circle in 2023 and reaching even more people in need!” ~Molly

“I have loved every second of our support group and feel so lucky to be able to directly speak to some of the most vulnerable youth in our city. These are experiences I cherish and will hold on to tightly as we enter a new year.” ~Lilith

“I’m so proud of the work PFLAG SF has done in 2022 and excited for the lives we can change in 2023!” ~Jeremy

“I’m very grateful for my health and my resilience, which both helped me early this year to shift perspectives and into a new career in mental health.
My studies and the new relationships I’m forging are deeply enriching my life. 2022 has been an amazing friend to me and I want to use my energy and other capabilities to help others stay healthy and improve the quality of their LGBT+ lives.” ~Trevor

Happy Holidays from PFLAG SF!
